Can a closed-back headphone create an experience convincing enough that you forget it is closed? In the first Psychoustic Session, I explore the Dan Clark Audio ÆON CORE through the Experience Atlas—a listening framework designed to connect what a headphone does with the experience it creates. Rather than treating this as a conventional review or specification rundown, I listen through five dimensions: • Humanity — Does the performance feel emotionally and physically human? • Embodiment — Does sound have weight, texture, and physical presence? • Space — Where do instruments exist, and how does that field evolve? • Immersion — Does the headphone disappear into the experience? • Character — What kind of world does it create? After the Atlas comes Resonance: what remains when the listening session is over?
