Dark Country Music for When You Can't Find Words — SINNER'S PRAYER

Dark country music for when you can't find words. "Sinner's Prayer" is an outlaw country song about a man who can't outrun what he's done. Gritty baritone vocals, haunting resonator guitar, southern gothic atmosphere. If you're here for dark country music that sounds like Johnny Cash meets Nick Cave, you're in the right place. Out on Spotify & Apple Music — September 4, 2026. LYRICS I don't know the words they use in the church on Sunday morn I just know I'm tired and broken and a little bit torn So here's my prayer, however rough, however wrong it sounds It's the only kind of praying that a sinner's ever found This is a sinner's prayer, said with shaking hands Not the kind they teach you, not the kind that understands But I'm saying it anyway, into the dark I go This is a sinner's prayer, it's the only one I know ABOUT ASH MARSHAL Ash Marshal is a scorched outlaw walking a dead frontier — a dark country saga told across 90 original songs in three chapters: Guilt & Faith, War & Loyalty, Love & Loss.
