[Baseballs reaching the Pearly Gates of Heaven?] Salt Kingdom - Chariots in the Sky [2050]

Upon Salt Lake City's victory in the 2050 National American Federation of Baseball playoffs, Max Walde of Salt Kingdom wrote Chariots in the Sky as tribute to right fielder Chase Connor's game winning home run against Nashville. While the record was largely ignored by those outside of Utah upon its initial release, Chase Connor himself would come to use the record as his walk-up music for the 2051 and 2052 seasons, which boosted both the popularity of the track and Salt Kingdom's profile across America and beyond. Lyrics: Fly, long ball! For your journey ends not here O'er the mountains high Your grace touches the sky! Fly, long ball! O'er heavens so dear Give us a taste Of victory Fly, long ball! May your wings spread wide On you unfolds history Upon you, we rely Chariots in the Sky! In the great City of Mountains Here, I reside Oh, chariot high, taketh not my pride Your resounding strike brings hope to I Your mark is long, meet it well May you arrive Fly, long ball! For your journey ends not here O'er the mountains high Your grace touches the sky! Fly, long ball! O'er heavens so dear Give us a taste Of victory Fly, long ball! May your wings spread wide On you unfolds history Upon you, we rely Chariots in the Sky! Oh, chariot high, could me you guide? When you find the clouds Please, remember I Oh, chariot high, I ask not why When I reach the Gates, you I will find Amongst the cosmos deep, would you remember I? Oh, would you remember I? Fly, long ball! For your journey ends not here O'er the mountains high Your grace touches the sky! Fly, long ball! O'er heavens so dear Give us a taste Of victory Fly long ball! May your wings spread wide On you unfolds history Upon you, we rely Chariots in the Sky! DISCLAIMER: This is a fictional alternate-history baseball music/archive project.
