Snake skulls are very complex and are challenging in themselves. They are like little skeletons. They are made up of a bunch of bones that have to be put back in place to assemble it. In this case, it is the skull of a large Burmese python (Python bivittatus) (about 4 m, about 13 feet). Don't miss the impressive set of teeth it has, especially on the palate. No prey could escape such a bite! It was cleaned by maceration. Therefore, all the bones were separated and it has been necessary to put them all back together. A very interesting challenge and at the same time very didactic. I am preparing some books on the cleaning and assembly of skulls and skeletons of snakes. Soon they will be available!
