基地為臺北車站遷建前之所在位置，周邊是臺北城商業最早繁榮區域，隨著臺北車站特定區、西區門戶計畫逐步推展，及桃園機場捷運營運通車，反映當今以及未來的經濟發展趨勢，如循環經濟、共用經濟等，相對提供立體化都市公共空間與公益性設施供市民使用，以促進社會公益及都市景觀的正向發展。 Located at the former site of Taipei Main Station, this project sits at the heart of the city’s oldest commercial district. As the West District Gateway and airport MRT projects advance, the design addresses emerging urban trends such as circular and shared economies.
