Empty Seats For Oilers Loss | The Oil Stream | 10-16-26

YouTube Trev, Benny Thomson, and Reid Wilkins get to all things Oilers throughout a busy edition of The Oil Stream! The fellas open the show by sifting through the wreckage of the Oilers' first regulation loss of the season—a 4-2 defeat at the hands of the Utah Mammoth. The boys lay out their pros and cons from the performance, but the real talk begins with ice time... Heavy Minutes for the Core: Should fans be genuinely concerned about the massive ice time the top stars logged last night and over this early stretch? Structural Takeaways: What broke down defensively, and what can be cleaned up moving forward? Then, the boys tackle what might be the biggest off-ice storyline of the week—attendance at Rogers Place. With over 2,000 empty seats reported last night, Trev, Benny, and Reid discuss whether this is just an early-season blip or a concerning sign of things to come for ticket prices and fan turnout in Edmonton. And true to Friday tradition, the fellas cap off the week with Fun and Games Friday! Today, YouTube Trev and Reid Wilkins go head-to-head in an intense round of NHL Bidding to see who takes home the Friday bragging rights! The Oil Stream is presented by Boston Pizza!
