It's been a bit of a learning curve working out how to microwave flowers to dry/press them. And this flower press has really been eye-opening. It's a bit of trial and error in terms of how to use it, as every microwave is different, and I'm using a convection microwave. Start out in short bursts is always a good idea, and I did read that if petals are starting to brown (even with small bursts of power), putting a cup of cold water in the microwave can help. I tend to paper-press my flowers after microwaving them - for at least a week. I just want to be sure the moisture has dried up, and reheating the blooms in the microwave repeatedly could result in browning. Let me know if you've tried microwave flower pressing. It's not only a speedy way to do it, it helps actually helps preserve the colour of most flowers.
