Hood Hinge Spring Installation 101 | Segment 19 – 1959 NAPCO Chevy Apache 1-Ton

Installing the hood springs on a late 50s truck is dicey at best. The spring is a very strong spring that has the potential to cause a big problem is not installed under very careful supervision. And I generally roam around without a lot of adult supervision (and my wife says I also run with scissors and don’t play well with others as well.) After a lack of confidence with methods from my You Tube fellow mechanics, I devised what I think is a much safer and controlled approach. Hope this helps.
