This is another personal work flow video about the Blender add-on called Bildeform : https://superhivemarket.com/products/... Affiliate Link (I am paid a small commission for purchases made using this link). Opinions are my own. This time looking more in depth (no pun intended) at image to bas relief- generate height and depth maps in Blender locally. I also give some workflow tips and tell you how I improved the result of the extra detail layer. The image I've used is one I've hand drawn and hand shaded (digitally). The reference I used for the design is from Wikimedia Commons. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Fi... You can also use the final displacement maps to make normal maps or 3d models for 3D printing, CNC and digital sculpting. I find normal maps very useful for 3d art and Illustration. I've included some information on how to make the normal map and how to use 3D Coats image to mesh. BTW the border trick may have something to do with the mathematical gradient things in the mathematical algorithms this add on uses. I am thinking of exploring that more at some point.
