Arabella - Oriental Dance, "Alf Leyla", Oum Kalthoum

Arabella - Oriental Dance to "Alf Leyla", Oum Kalthoum: "Alf Leyla Wa Leyla" ("1001 Nights") is one of the most popular egyptian compositions, sung by the famous Oum Kalthoum, probably the most iconic singer - and also the most prominent woman(!) of the Arab World. Also to me, her captivating voice is uncompareable in its ability to directly touch my heart. This one is about a night of love, which is wished, never to be ended by daylight. My interpretation is inspired by my big egyptian icons, like Fifi Abdou, Mona Said, Dina... #orientaldance #raqssharqi #oumkalthoum MUSIC: 1) "Alf Leyla" (Cairo Orchestra) Album: "10 Songs Every Bellydancer Should Know" 2008 2) 1st verse of "Alf Leila We Leila" sung by Oum Kalthoum Composer: Baligh Hamdi released 1969 ABOUT: I'm specialised in Egyptian Oriental Dance, but I also love to do some Fusion, from time to time.
