Welcome back to Black Girls Talkin' TV! 🌴 SURVIVOR IS BACK — and Season 51 wasted absolutely NO time giving us chaos! We're breaking down the Survivor 51 premiere, and the new "Open Era" is already living up to its promise of "permanent uncertainty." From a throwback-style marooning to 21 brand-new castaways, two tribes, the return of Exile Island, new twists, and a completely unpredictable first Tribal Council, this premiere had A LOT to unpack. For the first time in a while, Survivor is starting with just TWO tribes, and that immediately changed the way these new players had to build relationships and figure out where they stood. We saw alliances forming almost immediately, people scrambling to establish connections, and players realizing that they might have to adapt to a game where they don't know what twist is coming next. And then came the first Tribal Council… WHAT. WAS. THAT?! Jenna found herself in danger after struggling to connect with some of her tribemates, while Aaliyah suddenly became part of the conversation after Jenna attempted to shift the target. What followed was one of the messiest first Tribals we've seen in a while, with players openly negotiating, alliances being tested, and TWO castaways playing their Shots in the Dark. In the end, Aaliyah became the first person voted out of Survivor 51.
