Project Seagrass | Saving the World’s Seagrass

Healthy seagrass meadows support fisheries, shelter wildlife and help sustain coastal communities. But their future is under growing pressure. Project Seagrass is an international marine conservation charity with roots in Wales. We bring together science, practical conservation and restoration, working with communities and partners to protect seagrass and help it recover. This short film introduces the people, facilities and knowledge behind that work. From our seagrass nursery and underwater surveys to mapping, restoration and new planting technology, we’re building the foundations for the recovery of the world’s seagrass. Our work reaches beyond the places where we operate directly. Through tools including SeagrassSpotter and SeagrassTracker, alongside our networks, resources and scientific knowledge, we help others understand, protect and recover their local meadows.
