John Lennon DARED Dolly Parton to Sing Imagine Live — Nobody Expected THIS...

London, March 1975. John Lennon nearly canceled his appearance at a Royal Albert Hall charity gala that night, exhausted in a way no one around him could quite name. Then a last-minute addition to the bill changed everything — Dolly Parton, fresh off a run of London television appearances, agreed to open the show with two songs of her own. What neither of them expected was what happened next. In front of five thousand people who came for champagne and celebrity, John issued a dare that turned the entire evening into something nobody in that hall ever forgot — and by the time the last note faded, the room had witnessed something far more honest than either performer had planned to give.
