The Captain I Became – One Side Present (An Alternative Rock Pirate Shanty)

As part of the 1-year anniversary celebration of the release of “The Captain I'll Become,” One Side Present performs the second part of the original trilogy, bringing their alternative rock intensity to the original pirate metal shanty. The lyrics continue the story of our young captain as he tries to drown the grief of his former mentor's passing by following in his vengeful footsteps, even though he'd once sworn to become a better person and stand up against such cruelty. After his protege confronts him about how much he's changed since recruiting the crew to hunt down the very monster he's now idolizing, the young captain shouts a challenge to the drowned...and the drowned answer.
