Montreal, August 27, 2026 – I had the incredible honor of capturing the 2026 Canadian Artistic Swimming Championships at the Parc Jean-Drapeau Aquatic Complex . This outdoor pool under the summer sky became a stage for grace, power, and emotion. From junior soloists making their national debut to senior duets pushing the boundaries of choreography, the depth of talent on display was breathtaking . Canada’s legacy in this sport runs deep. We rank 3rd all-time in Olympic medals with 8 total, including unforgettable gold from legends like Carolyn Waldo (Seoul 1988) and Sylvie Fréchette (Barcelona 1992) . At the World Championships, we stand 5th in all-time medals — 8 gold, 10 silver, and 8 bronze . This new generation is carrying that torch. Just weeks ago, Canada claimed silver at the World Cup Super Final in Toronto, with Audrey Lamothe earning a solo free silver and the women's team finishing 5th in both technical and free events .
