Harvesting Huge Bamboo Shoots to Make Pickled Bamboo Shoots | Rural Life in Vietnam

Welcome to Trieu Tam Tam! Experience authentic rural life in Vietnam as I head into the mountains to harvest a basket full of fresh bamboo shoots. Instead of simply taking the fresh bamboo shoots to the market as usual, today I decide to prepare something different — delicious pickled bamboo shoots that are convenient for customers to buy and enjoy at home. After returning home, I carefully peel and clean the bamboo shoots before slicing them into thin pieces. I also prepare sliced garlic and fresh chili peppers, then mix everything together to make flavorful pickled bamboo shoots. The combination of tender bamboo shoots, fragrant garlic, and spicy chili creates a simple traditional food with an appetizing flavor. Once the pickled bamboo shoots are prepared, I divide them into small containers and bring them to the village market to sell. From time to time, I like to find new ways to prepare the ingredients I harvest instead of always selling them fresh. Turning fresh bamboo shoots into ready-to-eat pickled bamboo shoots makes them more convenient and attractive to customers while also helping me earn some extra income. The next day, I head to my garden to harvest fresh bottle gourds growing on the trellis. Bottle gourd is a popular countryside vegetable because it can be prepared in many different ways, from simple soups to stir-fried dishes. After picking the gourds that are ready, I take them to the village market to sell.
