A 21-minute 4K walk through the temples of Nara, Japan — surrounded by the free-roaming deer the city is famous for. No narration, ambient sound only.
Nara served as Japan's capital from 710 to 784. Optional subtitles in English, Spanish and Dutch provide short historical notes about the ancient capital.
Nara was Japan's capital in the 8th century and still holds some of the country's oldest and most important temples. The deer wander freely through the parkland between them and have been protected there for centuries.
This is a slow-TV walk through that landscape at walking pace, filmed on location.
In this video:
• Historic temples of Nara
• The free-roaming deer of Nara Park
• Parkland and temple grounds at walking pace
No commentary and no music — just ambient sound. Watch it as a virtual visit, as background ambience, to relax, or to fall asleep to.
