Epic Kenya Adventure at Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot

After saving and planning for six years, our family finally made it on our epic Kenya adventure. This portion of our trip focused on the area around Lake Naivasha. We did a boat tour on Lake Naivasha, which is well known for the hippos that live there. We then did a walking safari around Crescent Island since there are no predators on the island. Our family also made a last minute decision to hike Mount Longonot, which is a volcanic crater. The hike to the crater rim and back is approximately 4 miles, with just under 2000 foot elevation gain. ‪Kenya has been my favorite place I have traveled to so far with so many amazing experiences.
