An Old House Becomes a Private Resort | Inside DS House

This isn't a new house, it's an old one, extended onto new land, stitched together so seamlessly you can't tell where the old ends and the new begins. Designed by Gohte Architect, DS House started with just one line of brief: "we want it to feel like a resort," and every corner had to talk to each other — no dead corners, no hidden spots. Easier said than done. Pool levels got changed a week before the concrete pour. A whole rooftop function got added after finishing had already started. Four years of construction, four years of the client's ideas showing up mid-build. What made it work wasn't the plan — it was the fit between client and architect.
