The Future of Nigeria is Rooted in Agriculture

At independence, most of Nigeria's wealth came from the soil. Cocoa in the West. Groundnut pyramids in the North. Palm oil in the East. Agriculture paid for schools, raised skylines and helped build a young nation. 66 years later, the land is still giving. Nigeria remains one of the world's top cocoa producers and grows more cassava and yam than any nation on earth. The next chapter is about making more from what we grow, turning harvests into industries and industries into jobs. This Independence Day, we asked our team what agriculture means to Nigeria's past, present and future. Agriculture is our root, our roots built this nation. Let's keep building its future through agriculture. Happy 66th Independence Day, Nigeria
