Blues On The Corner - Kenny Garrett, Private Live Gig in Germany - September 1993

Alto saxophonist Kenny Garrett leads a fiery trio with Charnett Moffett on bass and Brian Blade on drums, recorded live in September 1993 in a private show in Germany. With no piano in the band, Garrett has all the room he wants, and he uses it on long, searching performances that run from McCoy Tyner's "Blues on the Corner" and "Mack the Knife" to the Largo from Dvořák's New World Symphony and his own "Bone Bop". In 1993 Garrett was a few years out of Miles Davis's band and had just released Black Hope (1992) with Moffett and Blade, and the trio's chemistry shows.
