5 Things She Listed Last Week That Were Not What I Was Expecting

Last week Sister Kristin M. Yee, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidency, gave the closing keynote at the 2026 Utah Area Young Single Adult Conference in Salt Lake City. She told that room: "If you are living your covenants, you are living plan A. There is no plan B for those who keep their covenants with God." She gave seven points that afternoon. In Part 1 I walked through the first two — who you are, and where a testimony actually comes from. These are the other five. And they were not what I was expecting. Serving. Belonging. Being found. Being happy now — not when the degree is finished, not when the relationship happens, not when life finally looks like the one you planned. And underneath all of it, something Elder Renlund taught that I had wrong for years: enduring to the end isn't a fifth step you grit your teeth through. It's the first four, run again.
