The Russian Railway Museum in St Petersburg is the largest railway museum in Russia, and the second largest in the world after The National Railway Museum in York, England. The museum's holdings comprise over 45,000 items. These include documents, photographs, works of fine art, as well as collections of numismatics, phaleristics, tools, instruments and rare objects related to the railway theme from various years. The foundation and main treasure of the museum is its collection of 123 units of historical rolling stock.
