Welcome back to Day 4 of my beginner-friendly German Dynamic Conquest series in Call to Arms: Gates of Hell – Ostfront! 🇩🇪 After a relatively smooth victory in Day 3, we're back on the defense, and things are about to get interesting! Our last defensive battle nearly ended in disaster, so this time I'm hoping to put some lessons learned into practice and keep our losses to a minimum. Unfortunately, the enemy has other plans! In this episode, we take a detailed look at preparing defensive positions, positioning anti-tank guns and machine guns, improving fields of fire, and using terrain to our advantage. Once the battle begins, we're faced with relentless enemy armor and infantry attacks that force us to adapt our strategy, prioritize targets, and even abandon positions when holding them becomes too costly. One of the biggest lessons from this battle? Sometimes retreating is the smartest tactical decision you can make! As always, I provide live commentary, explain my thought processes, and share practical tips covering defensive planning, unit positioning, target prioritization, and battlefield decision-making. My goal isn't simply to show you what I'm doing, but to explain why I'm doing it, so you can develop your own strategies and become more confident on the battlefield. 📺 NEW TO THE SERIES? This German Dynamic Conquest series starts from Day 1 and follows our campaign from the beginning. If you're new here, check out the previous episodes, along with my Complete Beginner's Guide and Infantry Mastery Guide for more detailed tutorials.
