Several retired workers stated that payments have remained pending for years, forcing them to face serious financial, medical and family-related difficulties. According to the protesters, many retirees are receiving very low pensions, while some former employees are allegedly waiting for retirement amounts running into lakhs of rupees. They also claimed that thousands of retired employees are affected and that many workers have died without receiving their pending dues. The protesters appealed to the Telangana Chief Minister, Transport Minister, Finance Minister and TSRTC management to intervene immediately. They said the money being demanded is not charity or a gift, but the retirement benefit legally due to employees for their years of service. The retired employees also raised concerns about medical facilities at Tarnaka Hospital, including the availability of medicines for diabetes and blood pressure patients.
