ವಾರಣಾಸಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಂಗಾ ಆರತಿ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾತ್ರವಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತದ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಹಳೆಯ ನಗರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾದ ಶಿವನಿಗೆ ಅರ್ಪಿತವಾದ ಒಂದು ನಿರ್ದಿಷ್ಟ ದೇವಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ, ಒಂದು ವಿಶಿಷ್ಟ ರೀತಿಯ ಪೂಜೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪದ್ಧತಿಗಳಿವೆ, ಅದು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಜರಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕತೆಗೆ ಆಳವಾಗಿ ಮುಳುಗಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಆ ದೇವಾಲಯವು ಪ್ರಸಿದ್ಧ ಕಾಶಿ ವಿಶ್ವನಾಥ ದೇವಾಲಯ, ಆ ನಗರವು ವಾರಣಾಸಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಆ ಆಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು 'ಗಂಗಾ ಆರತಿ' ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ನಗರಕ್ಕೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡುವ ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನರು ಪವಿತ್ರವಾದ ಗಂಗಾ ಆರತಿಯನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಶೀಲನಾಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೈಲೈಟ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಈ ಅಲೌಕಿಕ ಮತ್ತು ಬಹುತೇಕ ಸ್ವರ್ಗೀಯ ಅನುಭವವು ಪ್ರಪಂಚದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರಯಾಣಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬ ಸಂದರ್ಶಕ, ದೃಶ್ಯವೀಕ್ಷಕ ಮತ್ತು ಯಾತ್ರಿಕರಿಗೆ ಯೋಗ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ.
