Remodeling Darling Square Library in Grasshopper | Organic Helix Structure with Graph Mapper

This tutorial shows how to remodel Darling Square Library by generating an organic helix structure by utilizing Graph Mapper component. Designed by Kengo Kuma, Darling Square Library is known for its spiraling circular form wrapped in flowing timber ribbons, expressing a woven, nest-like geometry that feels both dynamic and organic. In this tutorial, we use Graph Mapper to control geometric transformation and generate a helix system that expands and contracts based on distance from a centroid—demonstrating how architectural inspiration can be reinterpreted into flexible computational form.
