91' Berkshire Double Header - Trainz Railfanning

  / igshid=ogq5zdc2odk2za%3d%3d     / discord   In 1991 the Colins P. Huntington Chapter of the NRHS hosted the National Railway Historical Society annual convention in Huntington West Virginia. This years convention saw three steam giants attend from both CSX and Norfolk Southern, with steam veterans Norfolk And Western 1218 and Nickle Plate Road 765 reprising they're roles as the beast of Norfolk Southern and the berk of the new river train respectively, as well as a new comer in Pere Marquette 1225 coming down from Owasso Michigan. The 1218 had control of the first two days on Norfolk Southern's Pocahontas Division while the Berkshire cousins had the final two days. We would set to catch the Berkshire doubleheader on the final day of the convention, As 765 and 1225 double head a mock New River Train from Huntington to Hinton West Virginia. We would catch the train shortly after it's photo run by at Thurmond West Virginia, cameras on the ground and on the train capture the magnificent duo as they make they're way through the New River Gorge on the trains final miles to Hinton.
