Could you go two weeks with no internet on your phone? In 2025, researchers got 467 people to try. Calls and texts still worked, and laptops stayed online. Attention, mood and life satisfaction all improved, and about 9 in 10 people improved on at least one. The twist: only 1 in 4 managed to keep the block on, and they were being paid. Important: this was a study of volunteers from the general public, not patients. It is not medical advice, and nobody should stop any treatment because of it. The volunteers wanted to cut down, knew what the study was about, were all iPhone users in the US and Canada, and it lasted only two weeks.
