Irv Athearn’s Last Stand - A Look At One Of The Final Blue Box Kits

Today we take a look at one of the most unique models I've ever stumbled upon, a post Horizon Hobby acquisition Athearn blue box kit of an EMD SD38. I saw this on ebay and had to have it - not only because I'd like to turn it into something but because of how hard to find it is. I was debating turning it into something but alas I'm not sure what to do with it now. I do apologize for not really getting into the parts, I oversaw it during recording so expect me to cover some part of this kit at some point. To clarify the "Rapido build it yourself GP40 idea", it would just be the same concept as this kit but to a Rapido level of detail. No idea why I said Rapido but sure thing.
