Why do so many survivors stay silent, especially when the person who hurt them is someone they know, trust, or even call family? In one of our most personal conversations yet, Magda opens up publicly for the first time about experiencing sexual assault as a child and why speaking about it took so many years. We talk about victim blaming, consent, family members protecting abusers, the pressure to stay quiet, childhood boundaries, and the ways trauma can continue showing up long after the abuse ends. We also ask some uncomfortable but necessary questions: Why are victims questioned about what they wore, drank, or did? Why do some families care more about keeping the peace than protecting the person who was harmed? And how do we raise children to understand boundaries, consent, and that they are allowed to say no, even to adults? This conversation is not about pity. It’s about breaking the silence, challenging the way we talk about sexual assault, and reminding survivors that they are not alone. ⚠️ CONTENT WARNING: This episode discusses sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, victim blaming, and trauma.
