The Struggle for School Admission | Never Lose Hope in Allah | Part 6
In this sixth part of Our Special Journey with Down Syndrome, we share a painful chapter in a family's journey — the struggle to find a school for their daughter with Down syndrome. ❤️
When the parents approached a Montessori school seeking admission for their little girl, the principal refused to admit her because she was unable to follow the instructions given to her during their interaction.
The parents tried their best to explain, to convince, and to help the principal understand their daughter's needs. But their efforts were unsuccessful, and they had to leave the school without admission.
💔 But this was not the end of their journey.
With heavy hearts, the parents continued visiting one school after another, hoping that someone would give their daughter a chance. Each rejection hurt them deeply, but they refused to let those painful experiences destroy their hope.
Their daughter's difficulty in understanding instructions at that moment did not define her worth, her potential, or what she could learn in the future.
Through every rejection, their faith in Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala) remained strong. They chose patience over despair, hope over disappointment, and trust in Allah over giving up.
🌸 A beautiful reminder from the Holy Qur'an:
فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
Fa-inna ma'al-'usri yusra.
“For indeed, with hardship comes ease.”
📖 Surah Ash-Sharh (Surah Al-Inshirah), Qur'an 94:5.
The father asks a powerful question:
“Hum Allah pe bharosa kaise chhod dein, jab Allah ne khud farmaya hai ki har mushkil ke saath aasani hai?”
How can we ever lose our trust in Allah when He Himself has promised that with hardship comes ease?
🤲 This is not the story of parents who gave up. This is the story of parents who kept walking, even when the road was painful, because their daughter's future was worth every effort.
A rejection is not the end of a child's story. A child's potential cannot be measured by one moment, one interaction, or one school's decision.
🌷 The journey continues… The struggle is not over, and the search for a place where their daughter can learn and grow goes on.
Will the parents finally find a school that gives their daughter a chance?
Continue this emotional journey in Part 7 of Our Special Journey with Down Syndrome.
May Allah grant strength to every parent facing challenges, open doors where they find closed ones, and bless every child with opportunities to learn, grow, and live with dignity. Aameen. 🤲❤️
