Is Jakarta Worth Visiting? 🇮🇩 Our First 48 Hours in Indonesia

Come along with us as we explore Jakarta, Indonesia, for the first stop of our two-week honeymoon around Asia! 🇮🇩❤️ We spent 48 hours in Jakarta, staying at the beautiful Grand Hyatt Jakarta, exploring shopping malls, trying local food, drinking plenty of coffee and enjoying everything the city had to offer! Our trip started with a lovely surprise at the Grand Hyatt Jakarta, where the staff upgraded us to a bigger room with club access! This meant complimentary breakfast and dinner, plus some extra honeymoon treats waiting for us. The hotel itself was amazing, and the staff made our stay even more memorable. Over the next two days, we explored some of Jakarta's massive shopping centres, visited cafés, tried delicious Indonesian food (including some of the best fried rice I've ever had!) and enjoyed a pretty relaxing start to our honeymoon. How much did we spend in Jakarta? 💰 🏨 Grand Hyatt Jakarta (2 nights): $564 AUD after cashback 🚕 Grab transport (3 rides): $50 AUD 🍜 Food, coffee & drinks: ~$100 AUD 🛍️ Shopping & beauty (Viv's spending): $66 AUD 💵 Concierge tip: $4 AUD - one of the concierge staff told us if we brought the souvenir with us and we said no because we thought it was a part of the hotel's table decoration, so he went up to grab it for us so that we could bring it with us (we were already at the hotel lobby about to book a Grab to go to the shopping centre near the airport)! 🛂 Indonesian visas: $84 AUD Total: ~$868 AUD for two people, excluding flights!
