Map: Any Game Mode : Start from Scratch - $500,000 owned - $0 debt Economy: Any Loans: No Leasing: No Contracts : Own equipment only Seasons : On Starting Month: January Other Settings: Optional Starting Setup Purchase land plot(s) with a total acreage of approximately 10 acres (give or take) Purchase and place one house, one shed, one grain silo, and market stand (sell point) at the road Remaining money to be used at your discretion Objective of the challenge Every year, you must collect and store enough food for your growing family. Your family is growing and they are increasingly need more food with more choices! You can produce additional crops and products to sell at the market stand, but only after you have met your food store needs. You can keep dairy animals through the years, but the meat livestock must be sold in December. In December, you MUST sell everything in your inventory so that each year starts fresh. You can use the money to further develop your farm. The idea is that you consumed these products but you will also need more money to evolve your farm. This keeps you focused on your farm. Then you can only have 1 worker at a time. You can NOT purchase more land! You can NOT purchase map productions. Any productions you use must be placed on your land. You must produce your own "food". You may only buy farm products externally (seed, fertilizer...etc) You may not use unrealistic equipment or productions No high output greenhouses You will need to power your farm. Set up some solar or windmill energy at your discretion. Tips for Success Prepare for the next season well ahead of time. Make sure you have the equipment and productions ready! Strategic placement of productions and other placeables on your homestead to optimize space Highly recommend getting a bale and pallet storage building to make tracking the numbers easier Honey produces very slowly. Be aggressive with your hives configuration. Bonus Challenges Produce one pallet of flowers and one pallet of chocolate for your partner in Year 3 Make your homestead look beautiful Notes I know the quantities are not very realistic from a real life consumption point of view, but the challenge has to be challenging! The toughest part of the challenge is picking the right map and property! That said, some maps have cheap property prices, some very expensive. Keep that in mind.
