In this video, we reach a major milestone on our 1967 C10: the rack and pinion steering is finalized, and the truck is officially a roller! We successfully connect the steering column to the Dakota rack and put it to the test, revealing a smooth, play-free feel that's a massive upgrade from the stock system.
We also do a crucial final check of clearances and plan for the motor mounts, acknowledging the need for more custom fabrication to fit the upcoming LS engine. We reflect on the success of the rack and pinion conversion and share some insights on the turning radius and bump steer, which wee believe will be an improvement over the original setup.
