We’re delighted to share this fantastic success story, showing what collaboration can achieve in creating inclusive employment opportunities. Paula Scallon, Employer Liaison Officer with the Integration and Employment of Migrants (IEM) Programme, and Sandra Browne, Employment Specialist with the New Wave Workability Programme, worked together to support sisters Deyaa and Nour Oraig in securing meaningful employment. The Workability Programme received a referral from Cliodhna Donohue of Chime, the National Charity for Deaf & Hard of Hearing People, seeking employment support for the sisters, who are profoundly deaf. Edel McSorley, Director of Operations at Mr Price Branded Bargains, was delighted to welcome Deyaa and Nour to the Sligo store. Chime also provided on-site Deaf Awareness Training for staff, helping to create a more inclusive and supportive workplace. This is a wonderful example of partnership in action, demonstrating how working together can open doors, create opportunities and promote equal access to meaningful employment within our community. 👏 A huge thank you to Mr Price Branded Bargains, Chime, Edel McSorley and Cliodhna Donohue for their support and collaboration in making this fantastic outcome possible!
