What does it mean to worship God in spirit and in truth? Continuing through Jesus’ conversation with the Samaritan woman in John 4:1–26, Pastor Straton Michelle examines what happens after Jesus offers her living water. Jesus confronts her with the reality of her life and sin, showing that her need for salvation is not different from the need shared by all people. The conversation then turns to worship. The Samaritan woman asks where God should be worshiped, and Jesus points beyond the question of geography to worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth. The message considers what this means for understanding who God is, allowing Scripture to correct our assumptions, and recognizing that salvation through Christ is open to all.
