Developed to provide additional free transportation for Dabawenyos, the Davao Interim Bus Service or DC Bus has catered to a total of 1,377,808 passengers across Davao City from its first operation in December 2025 through September 30, 2026.At least 56 percent of these passengers are from the South Route with Route 103 (Toril-Roxas) and Route 403 (Mintal-Roxas) leading in passenger count. According to a report from the Davao Bus Office, demand is higher during morning and evening rush hours, with passenger volume peaking at 7 am and 6 pm.With ten 12-meter-long, low-entry buses, the DC Bus serves as an interim solution to the growing and urgent need for transportation options during peak hours. It serves as a convenient and accessible public transport option that allows Dabawenyos to travel efficiently to their destinations. These buses ply the streets during peak hours from 6 am to 10 am, and from 4 pm to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday with 124 bus stops set up in the northern and southern parts of the city for safe loading and unloading of passengers.DC Bus remains free for all Dabawenyos, and will continue to serve as a sweeper transport service complementary to the existing Peak Hours Augmentation Bus System (PHABS) and Public Utility Jeepneys.
