Washington Mystics Drop Series to Atlanta! The FUTURE is Bright! Could Caitlin Clark be a TRADE?

The Washington Mystics’ season comes to an end after dropping their playoff series to the Atlanta Dream — but there is A LOT to be excited about in D.C.! Despite the disappointing finish, this young Mystics squad showed flashes of exactly why the FUTURE IS BRIGHT. With Sonia Citron, Kiki Iriafen, Georgia Amoore, Aaliyah Edwards, Shakira Austin and Washington’s developing young core, the Mystics could be building something special for years to come. We break down what went wrong against Atlanta, what Washington needs to improve this offseason, which players should be considered untouchable, and what moves could take this roster to another level. And then we get to the BIG QUESTION… COULD CAITLIN CLARK EVER BECOME A TRADE TARGET FOR THE WASHINGTON MYSTICS? We discuss the hypothetical possibilities, what Washington would potentially have to give up, whether Indiana would ever even consider moving its superstar, and just how insane a Clark-to-Washington scenario would be for the WNBA. Atlanta moves on, but Washington has plenty of reasons for optimism. The Mystics have young talent, potential flexibility, and an opportunity to make some serious noise moving forward. Drop your thoughts in the comments: How far away are the Mystics from becoming legitimate championship contenders? And would you EVER consider breaking up this young core for a superstar like Caitlin Clark?
