Stripping an abandoned Italian villa down to its bones is a monumental undertaking requiring brutal force and precision. The restoration begins with intense manual demolition, smashing concrete cellar basins by hand and clearing decades of heavy debris. Heavy machinery then tackles the crumbling facade and digs deep perimeter trenches to halt rising damp. With the envelope exposed, the roof is completely rebuilt using fresh terracotta tiles. Inside, temporary steel shoring props carry the immense weight of the ceiling while massive load-bearing brick partitions are broken down to create a sweeping, open floor plan. Finally, breathable exterior stucco and custom interior wainscoting merge modern infrastructure with classical design. What was once a rotting shell is now a glorious, weather-tight masterpiece glowing in the sun. If you love historic architecture, traditional masonry, and extreme DIY restorations, this video will inspire you. ⏱️ Chapters: 00:00 Site Clearing & Demolition 08:28 Excavation & Trenching 09:12 Structural Demolition & Rebuilding 12:57 Roof Restoration 14:06 Exterior Plastering & Facade Work 17:04 Interior Framing, Utilities & Wainscoting 22:53 Wall Opening & Reinforcement 26:30 Final Plastering, Cleanup & Reveal 🎬 Original video by Villa Aroldi - An Italian House Restoration:    / @villaaroldi
