MBTA Green Line, Railfanning and on Board.

The MBTA Green Line is the oldest subway line in the MBTA system. Parts of the Green Line, including Park Street, Boylston, and Haymarket, are some of the oldest operating stations in North America! The Green Line is split up in 4 distinct branches so you have to be careful what train you get on if you want to travel before it branches off. Today, we start our journey at Union Square, then watched trains at Lechmere, and finally finished at North Station. We rode on the Type 7 and 8’s model of trains. The type 7 were manufactured by Kinki Sharyo in the years 1986-1997. The type 8’s are manufactured by AnsaldoBreda in the years 1998-2007. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the video! Keep chuggin’ along! 🚂
