The John Deere 550CS is a rebadged Homelite 8800, evidently sold in 1996 & 1997 by John Deere dealers. Other than the obvious color difference, the only other major difference from it's Homelite counterpart is the addition of some sort of sealant around the rubber parts. All of the service procedures here will directly translate to working on a Homelite 8800; much of this is applicable to the earlier 540 as well. 0:00-Intro 2:15-Why Are We Working On This Saw? 3:19-Removing Bar & Chain 5:14-Removing Air Filter & Mount 8:00-Carburetor Removal 12:15-Carburetor Boot Defective! 13:45-Handle Removal 16:00-Differences Between a 540 & 8800 18:40-Starter Removal 21:45-Throttle Handle & Tank Removal 27:40-Removing Triggers Other Accessories 31:18-Problems With New Part! 32:50-Installing Fuel Tank Vent 36:45-Installing Grommets 40:00-Installing Triggers 44:00-Installing Oil Tank Vent 47:00-Replacing Intake Boot 51:45-Installing Vibration Isolators 52:20-Installing New Throttle Handle 56:16-Installing Carburetor 58:15-Installing Hi/Lo Grommet 1:01:15-Installing On/Off Switch Panel 1:02:21-Installing Air Filter & Mount 1:02:52-Installing Cylinder Cover 1:03:35-Installing Handle 1:10:21-Memory Card Issues/Wrap-up
