8 planets. 8 rounds. Every planet against every planet. 🏆
In every round we rank all eight using real NASA numbers — 1st place gets 8 points, last place gets 1. The champion has to win back the trophy from HD 189733 b, the planet where it rains glass… sideways.
Final standings: 🥇 Venus 44 · 🥈 Jupiter 43 · 🥉 Saturn 40 · Earth 37 · Uranus 35 · Neptune 32 · Mars 29 · Mercury 27
(Who got robbed in Round 7? Venus at 177° or Uranus at 98°? 👇)

The numbers
Biggest (diameter): Jupiter 142,984 km … Mercury 4,879 km
Fastest (orbital speed): Mercury 47.4 km/s … Neptune 5.4 km/s
Densest: Earth 5.51 g/cm³ … Saturn 0.69 g/cm³ (less than water)
Hardest to escape (escape speed): Jupiter 59.5 km/s … Mercury 4.3 km/s
Hottest (average): Venus 464 °C … Neptune −200 °C
Most moons (officially recognized, Aug 2026): Saturn 293, Jupiter 115, Uranus 29, Neptune 16, Mars 2, Earth 1, Mercury 0, Venus 0
Most tilted (axial tilt): Venus 177.4°, Uranus 97.8° … Mercury 0.03°
Shiniest (geometric albedo): Venus 0.69 … Mercury 0.14
Science notes
Venus's tilt of 177° means its axis is flipped almost upside down — that's why it spins backwards. Uranus is tipped 98°, onto its side. The league rule ranked the bigger angle higher.
HD 189733 b (about 64 light-years away): 1.13× Jupiter's width, a 2.2-day year, over 1,000 °C. Its speed (~150 km/s) and density (~1 g/cm³) are our own estimates from NASA's catalog values. No moons have been found around it.
