Ice Skater

Dedication I wrote “Ice Skater” for an old childhood friend who holds a special place in my memories. We were the best of friends when we were kids. We spent many wonderful times together, including going to the indoor ice rink, where we would skate, laugh, and simply enjoy being young. She had an infectious smile, and when I look back on those years, that smile is still one of the things I remember most. Life moves forward, people grow up, and eventually our paths went in different directions. But some friendships leave a mark on your heart that the passing years can't completely erase. Sometimes I find myself wishing I could step back into one of those old memories for just a little while—lace up those skates and go around the rink with my friend one more time. I wouldn't change the life I have today. I simply cherish the life and friendship we shared then. Wherever life's road takes you, “Ice Skater” is dedicated to you—to our friendship, our laughter, and those unforgettable days on the ice.
