Watercolor for Beginners: Lesson 1 | Water, Paint & Basic Techniques

If you’re new to watercolor—or simply want to go back to the basics—come paint with me! In this first lesson, we’re going to get to know watercolor and explore how water and paint work together. We’ll experiment with transparency, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, soft and hard edges, dry brush, lifting, and different paint-to-water mixtures. This isn’t about being perfect. ❤️ I’m not a formal art teacher—I’m simply sharing what I’ve learned and my love and joy for watercolor.
