Synopsis: Set in Pakistan, the story follows Shabana and her extended family, who live in a crowded ancestral home shaded by an ancient, massive almond tree. For decades, the family patriarch strictly prohibited cutting the tree. However, following his death, the brothers decide to chop it down to build extra rooms on the upper level for their growing families. Shortly after construction begins, a tragic incident strikes during an Eid celebration when one of Shabana’s daughters falls from the unfinished roof. En route to the hospital, the injured girl becomes possessed—her eyes turn fully white as she delivers a chilling warning in an unnatural voice. Strange occurrences quickly escalate throughout the house, including terrifying doppelgängers appearing to family members and multiple daughters falling into trances. Desperate for answers, the family consults an aamil (spiritual scholar), who reveals that the ancient tree was the centuries-old home of a clan of jinns. With their habitat destroyed, the entities have taken over the newly built upper floor. To protect her family, the grandmother makes a pact with the spirits: a dedicated room upstairs will remain locked for the jinns, which she alone will clean and pray in, provided the entities leave the children unharmed. Despite the agreement, living alongside the spirits becomes a nightmare. Every attempt by the family to escape, seek outside help, or visit a holy shrine results in violent retaliation and death threats delivered through the possessed daughters. Unable to leave and unable to drive the spirits out, the family remains trapped inside their own home, forced into a permanent, fearful coexistence with the unseen entities.
