I show how I use the Akai MPC Live as an instrument inside my studio setup—recording it directly into Ableton Live through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 (3rd Gen). Instead of the usual standalone workflow, I trigger pre-loaded samples on the MPC while locked in with Ableton’s metronome. From there, I build a full instrumental around that initial performance. This is a great example of how to integrate hardware like the MPC Live with your DAW for a hybrid production workflow. Whether you're an Ableton Live user looking to incorporate external gear, or an MPC head curious about DAW integration—this is for you.
