My 1964 Mercury Marauder has been fouling spark plugs like crazy, so I tore into the old Ford V8 to figure out what was going on. The plugs were covered in buildup, pointing straight at worn valve stem seals letting oil past. Instead of doing a full teardown, I tried something different… I replaced ONLY half the valve stem seals to see if the fouling changes from one bank to the other. It’s a weird experiment, but it might show exactly how much those seals matter on an old engine like this. In this video you’ll see: Diagnosing heavy spark plug fouling Inspecting the Marauder’s old Ford V8 Replacing half the valve stem seals First start and plug comparison If you enjoy old‑school Ford builds, engine diagnostics, or oddball experiments, you’ll like this one. 💬 Comment: Should I finish the other half or tear deeper into the engine? 👍 Like the video if you want more classic car content 🔔 Subscribe for more Marauder projects, hot‑rod builds, and engine experiments
