He holds a master’s degree in commerce from the Hailey College of Commerce, Punjab University, Lahore. Once a self-described liberal and secularist, Butt recalls a time when he admired Indian music and culture. He says that for Pakistani liberals, India used to be a source of intellectual and cultural inspiration. But according to him, that era ended four decades ago. In his view, India has abandoned its secular foundations and morphed into a Hindu fundamentalist state where minorities are being systematically oppressed. At 10:39, he claimed that India committed the greatest act of terrorism against Pakistan in 1971. According to him, it was a massive conspiracy: India sponsored terrorism, pitted Bengali separatists against the Pakistani military, and whipped up hatred toward West Pakistan, ultimately leading to the fall of Dhaka. According to him, more than 150,000 Kashmiris have been martyred and innumerable women have been raped. The region remains under lockdown, with Kashmiris still deprived of internet access and other means of communication. He made these claims at 12:54. On May 3, 2025, he released a highly emotional and incendiary vlog on Facebook, lashing out at India and Hindus. In the video, he openly called for bombing all Indian dams located in Kashmir. Speaking with contempt, he mocked what he called the “Hindu Banya,” claiming they lacked the courage to stop the flow of water to Pakistan.
