The presentation covers the major **red flags for headache during pregnancy**, including: • *Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH)* and thunderclap headache • *Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS)* • *Pituitary apoplexy* • *Pre-eclampsia and eclampsia* • *Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT)* • Other important secondary causes of headache during pregnancy and the postpartum period • *Ectopic pregnancy and associated clinical warning signs* where relevant to the evaluation of pregnant patients We also discuss **migraine during pregnancy**, including how pregnancy may affect migraine patterns, important differential diagnoses, and practical approaches to diagnosis and management. A major part of the lecture focuses on **the treatment of migraine during pregnancy and breastfeeding/lactation**, including: • Which medications can be considered during pregnancy • Medications that should be avoided or used with caution • Acute treatment of migraine attacks • Preventive treatment when necessary • Treatment considerations during breastfeeding • Balancing maternal benefit and fetal/infant safety • Practical clinical decision-making for neurologists, obstetricians, and other healthcare professionals This lecture is intended for **neurologists, obstetricians and gynecologists, emergency physicians, general practitioners, and healthcare professionals involved in the care of pregnant and postpartum women**. *Educational content only.
